Engine Builds

An engine does not exist in isolation. On a custom build, the powertrain has to work with the chassis, the drivetrain, the fabrication, and the bodywork. When the engine is planned alongside the rest of the project, the components are designed to fit and function together rather than adapted to one another after the fact.

That integration is what separates a cohesive vehicle from an assembly of parts. It is also why we handle engine work as part of custom car builds and custom hot rod builds rather than as a standalone service.

Many of the mounts, brackets, and structural pieces that support a powertrain come out of our automotive metal fabrication facility. Because the fabrication, the chassis work, and the engine work all happen under one roof in Apache Junction, each part is built to fit the actual vehicle in front of our craftsmen.

The same applies to a restoration: during a frame-off restoration, the engine is addressed as one component of a vehicle being brought back to life throughout.

Arizona Rod Shop is located in Apache Junction, Arizona, just east of the Greater Phoenix Metro Area. We work with owners across Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Gold Canyon, as well as clients throughout Arizona.
